Recently I attended a Landscape Photography workshop at the Columbia River Gorge. It was such a great time! We shot from sunrise to sunset for five days. I got to meet some great people along the way. The first thing I learned was not to bring a cheap tripod from Amazon. When shooting in rivers and high speed having a heavy duty tripod is essential! They recommended quite a few brands depending on price point 1. Really Right Stuff 2. Getzo 3. Mefoto.
Second lesson bring water proof everything! I ended up buying some water proof pants, the mist from the waterfalls will drench you in a matter of minutes. Lesson 3 when shooting falls you can never have enough lens wipes! With all the mist from the falls you wants some in both pockets.
This was such a great experience. We can all consider ourselves pros until we get in a group full of counterparts in the industry. You start to realize how much you still have to learn!
